Donating and supporting AIDS Walk New York will directly enable START, as a part of the GMHC Community Partner Program, to continue to innovate, lead, and deliver vital services for those affected by HIV/AIDS at a time when they are especially needed. The AIDS Walk New York is the world's largest and most visible HIV/AIDS fundraising event. START will participate in the 2023 AIDS Walk on May 21st in Central Park. Too many people living with HIV or AIDS experience higher rates of food and housing insecurity and suffer from health conditions such as diabetes – all of which further increases their risk of complications from the coronavirus disease.

While we have come a long way since the early years of the AIDS crisis, people living with HIV/AIDS continue to face new, life-threatening circumstances, especially during the recent global pandemic. True to START's mission, we continue to provide care to the most disadvantaged and vulnerable citizens.
